Book review of Seventh Born by Monica Sanz

To be honest I found this to be a slow read. The story was good, the characters were great, the world building exquisite but it took too long.

I like the story premise and you really feel for Seraphina. She has 1 friend, a well-off suitor and a quirky but brilliant young teacher how has taken an interest in her at least secretly.
All she wants to do is what almost no one in her station has done  ...  become an inspector.

Give it a try  ...  maybe the pacing was only an issue for me.

Cold Blood Dirty Blood by Heather Hildenbrand

This story continues & Thank the Gods it does!

Now, all I can do is accept the truths that are staring me in the face. One, Werewolves do exist. And Two, I was born to kill them.

This was a great YA story and you really learn to love the characters!

I look forward to other books & character & story development.

Discern (Mosaic Chronicles, #1) by Andrea Pearson

I was interested by the premise of the story & I can say it was not a let down. YA is not my normal genre but paranormal fiction is & this was a good book!

I am actively considering reading the others in the series. They are currently in my TBR  list.

Elementals: The Complete Series by Michelle Madow

Book 1 review:
I was pulled in from the beginning of this book. Some parts reminded me of other series I have read but I loved the Greek mythology spin! I started this book last night & despite having to work today & cook dinner I finished it tonight. Now on to Book 2 in the series.

The plot is pretty clear & descriptions more than good enough to get a good picture of places, events & the characters in the book! I think  may have found a new favorite author!

{I received free in hopes of writing an honest review.}

Book 2 review:
It was brought to my attention that I read very fast as I finished both of these books in less than 8 hours each. I also read it a little last night about Greek Mythology and the gods/godesses because I am the type of reader who has to know; has to understand what is written. Michelle Madow did due diligence with the Greek mythology portions of these books.  They draw you in and refuse yo release you until you have finished them. Looking forward to starting the next book tomorrow.

This was a well written; well planned book with characters that jump off the page!

Book 3 review:
I have always like Greek Mythology and these books are full of it  ...  Just know that I read it fast and was interested from start to finish. I am well outside of the YA age group but still find these books fascinating!
This book is well written as were the previous 2; Michelle Madow obviously loves what she does & it shows!
I have always like Greek Mythology and these books are full of it. Well researched and the story is very well told.
Take a chance & give the series a read!

Book 4 review:
I just finished reading this book and I was not let down.I was about to be very unhappy about some events but by the end I was looking forward to seeing what happens. Sorry about being vague but I often read reviews before reading a book & I don't want to ruin it for anyone.

Just know that I read it fast and was interested from start to finish. I am well outside of the YA age group but still find these books fascinating!
Take a chance & give the series a read!

Book 5 review: Sad to see the series end  ...
I really enjoyed the fresh take on the Witch  ...  I loved the well thought out and we'll researched Greek Mythology references and characters in this series! I was sad to see it end the way it did but after the 4 previous books ... I was not surprised. I didn't stop reading unless I had to work, sleep, eat or if my tablet died!

NOTE: I was given the ARC of this book to read & review IF I choose to. With that said ... this is the fair & honest review I CHOSE to write!

The Truth Spell (Werewolf High Book 1) by Anita Oh

Surprisingly fantastic ...

I downloaded this book for free (though not as an ARC, with no ask for a review) and I am not sure how long it has been sitting I  my kindle library but it has been sitting. I was looking for a quick read, it took me about 5 hours to devour this book and devour it I did!
It was an interesting story about an out of place teen and her struggle to acclimate to a borading school for the wealthy . She has to catch up academically and quickly figure out that at least some of the Paranormal world is real  ...  really dangerous and out to get them!

This book is well written, interesting and the characters are easily identified with. You really start to like some & not some others  ...  though I hope to change my mind about a couple by the end of the next couple books!

A Question of Faith (Magic Incarnate, #1) by Nicole Zoltack

This was a fresh take on the Witch genre. It was well thought out and well written. I am looking forward to reading the next one in the Series. The action is slow in coming do to plot & character development but it is there & some is surprising!

FYI: I received the book for free in hopes that I would write an honest review.
