The heart break Kai feels is palpable. She hopes and prays the Logan will get better.
He tells her what he needs to get better and she risks her life to get that & bring it back to him.
Will it matter in the end? Will Kai and Logan get there Happily ever after? Will a certain Far prince end their happiness by ending her life?

The characters are so well crafted you simply fall for them and I have to kniw how thuscstory continues. The world is fascinating in that if you read paranormal fiction it is familiar but different. As a reader, I am also a lover of words and Janelle Perl uses them well.
All that said ... I am off to get the next book.
Kailin Odel is a Panther Shifter Alpha; a Demon Hunting Mage & Niamh ... though she finds out that being an Niamh comes with a team for back up.
She has just lost her sister and regained her mother to nearly "lose" her mother again to Alpha High Council shenanigans. Though the loss is really just for looks but still a twist to an already adjusting situation.
Then there is Logan, Saleem and Omega to deal with ... my this lil' kitty has quite a full plate of problems. As if on cue the High Priestess of the DeathTalkers calls in her Blood Promise! What is Kai to do!?! She will do what has to be done! She will fight, be injured and suffer loss.
Logan leaves!her to protect her but innthe end she loses Logan to Division 7 and "their leader" and he is currently in a coma.
She will hold her place in the Quintet of Niamh ... I look forward to hearing through other books to see the Quintet in action!
I loved this book! Despite the sadness that Kai experiences and the surprises from The Alpha Council. Logan and Kai have certainly heated up and I'm not sad about that.
Failure, betrayal, love, suspicion ... so much more!
Read it ... you will not be unhappy that you did!
