Book Review of Howl For It by Shelley Laurenston and Cynthia Eden
Howl For It is 2 books/novellas in one.
The first Book/novella is: Like a Wolf with a Bone by Shelley Laurenston
I wasn't sure at first ... this was set in the South and all of the Characters male Smith's had Ray as their 2nd first name or middle name (it is unclear which it is) & the Lewis sisters were all "first name" Mae's.
That said even the character written to be the least endearing will work his way into your heart.
Eggie Ray and Darla Mae were born for each other. Eggie Ray is more Wolf than man and Darla Mae is a pacifist Werewolf. Despite the fact that Eggie Ray would just as soon kill you as talk to you they seem to work ... maybe Darla Mae's amazing pies help as well.
There was action, strife, crazy families coming together (again! ) ... this book was fun to read.
Wed or Dead by Cynthia Eden is the second of the books/novellas.
This was my first Cynthia Eden book/story and it was good! It took me a few chapters to get into to it but in the end it was worth the effort!
Give this book a try if you want a good set of paranormal romance books/stories!
I volunteered to read the book as an Advanced reader copy and now I am writing my honest review of the book.

V Games: Fresh From The Grave by Caroline Peckham
Having really enjoyed the previous book you will need to read it first or you will be a bit lost; I was excited to start reading this one and I have to say I loved it. This picks up where the previous book left off.
Selena has escaped from Raskdød however, at the start she’s in the middle of the North Sea, with no fuel, no food and only static when she tries to contact the Coastguard. Unless someone comes by soon she’s going to die.
A boat sails up with a single man on board, this man who knows who she is and while Selena doesn’t know if she can trust him but really has no choice. She takes a chance and leaves with Ulvic on his catamaran. At this point she knows she has to be back to the Island to help Varick so here's hoping! Meanwhile, back on Raskdød, Varick and Jameson have been reunited and are playing with Ignus; who is also busy making more V’s to replace the ones they lost. Some familiar faces will be present at the next V Games ... read it to see who & what happens!
V Games (The Vampire Games Book 1) by Caroline Peckham
First you feel for Selena having gotten an unfair ride to prison. Then Carick happens ... which happens to be bad but also good.
Many trials and much death ensues causing quite a wild ride!
Read it ... is was a good read!

City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare (The Mortal Instruments series)
Though I am way outside of the average age of a YA reader ... It was great!
... and so the journey continues ...
The world is built masterfully & the characters jump of the page; it is a joy to read and you really feel for Claire ... so much upheaval ...
I tore through this book & then was on to the next!

Cold Blood (Dirty Blood, #2) by Heather Hildenbrand
This story continues & Thank the Gods it does!
Now, all I can do is accept the truths that are staring me in the face. One, Werewolves do exist. And Two, I was born to kill them.
This was a great YA story and you really learn to love the characters!
I look forward to other books & character & story development.
The Truth Spell (Werewolf High Book 1) by Anita Oh
Surprisingly fantastic ...
I downloaded this book for free (though not as an ARC, with no ask for a review) and I am not sure how long it has been sitting I my kindle library but it has been sitting. I was looking for a quick read, it took me about 5 hours to devour this book and devour it I did!
It was an interesting story about an out of place teen and her struggle to acclimate to a borading school for the wealthy . She has to catch up academically and quickly figure out that at least some of the Paranormal world is real ... really dangerous and out to get them!
This book is well written, interesting and the characters are easily identified with. You really start to like some & not some others ... though I hope to change my mind about a couple by the end of the next couple books!
A Question of Faith (Magic Incarnate, #1) by Nicole Zoltack
This was a fresh take on the Witch genre. It was well thought out and well written. I am looking forward to reading the next one in the Series. The action is slow in coming do to plot & character development but it is there & some is surprising!
FYI: I received the book for free in hopes that I would write an honest review.
