The Vampire Wish by Michelle Madow ( Book 1 of The Vampire Wish series)

This was good from the beginning. I like Annika she is strong and unwilling to submit. I also like Jacen who seems to be the Vampire version of Annika.

The story and characters were well crafted and I look forward to reading other books in the series!

The 0.5 starter book of the Mel Goes To Hell series. I received as an ARC with hopes I would write an honest review.

With that said  ...  I am intrigued. I'm trying to dislike Luce but it has been a hard sell so far. Maybe I will fall in love with Mel in "Welcome to Hell" and will find a way to dislike Luce  ...  time will tell.

This is the 2nd book of the Mel Goes To Hell series. I received as an ARC with hopes I would write an honest review.

With that said  ...  I really like Mel  ...  she is Hell bent on helping so very angelic but there is a very human side to her as well.  To find out she is as powerful as she is & a highly ranked Angel was a fun twist! You try to hate Luce, I mean he is Lucifer but you just can't! All I can say is Holy Twists Batman!
I am looking  forward to more!

With that said  ...  I am looking g forward to more! Mel's interview was brilliant. As a hiring manager I would have Offered on the spot to Mel! I love the working relationship between Mel & Raphael. I look forward to additional working relationships that may pop up in future eposodes!

I am saying right now, without dropping spoilers, that person is right there! Now, will Evie recognize it and will they admit it?  Ok after a few more chapters, an angel battle & a confession  ...  I was wrong. OMG  ...  This can't be Good!

Oh My Julian! The sexy "former" Hades King of Hell  ...  might be worth staying for!

Holy Fallen Angels Batman! Gabriel (Gavriel) & Daniel  ...  This could spell trouble! Oh, it spells trouble, a battle, injured angels & confessions that may be unwelcomed.

Twists a plenty  ...  looking forward to Resonance!

Evangeline is a strong character who is perhaps too smart for her own good. She has crack instincts that she knows better than to ignore  ...  more than 1,000 years of life has taught her that.

She has become suspicious of recent events and has begun to distrust  ...  which is unusual for this Nephilim. She has become adversarial with current leadership & at times goes out of her way to irritate them. Not always a trait of hers as she fully trusted previous leadership.

This book was well written with amazing detail to ancient Roman history & Greek/Roman mythology. I will say I caught some foreshadowing pretty early in the story but was not upset when the twists started. I was routing for the twists & turns!  Now on to the next book!
