Blood Magic (DarkWorld Soul Tracker Novel Book 1) by T.G. Ayer

Blood Magic ( DarkWorld Soul Tracker 1 by T.G. Ayer)

No spoilers ... just an honest review

I received this book free with the hopes I would read it & leave a review.

I liked this story, starts a little slow as there is a good amount of plot & character building. Mel is dynamic, stubborn often at her own expense and frankly a tour de force!

This is a good quick read& a good beginning to a series. Now on to the next book!

Bitten (Women of the Underworld) by Kelly Armstrong

I read this book years before it hit TV. The book is way better than the TV show but the TV show was done better than others.

That said, this is an action packed book with love, fighting, death and inner struggle.

The Siren's Eyes by Helen Scott

Oh Thad  ...  The thinker, planner & stoic brother. What a task ahead  ...  how will Thad handle the upheaval headed his way.
Dem also shines in this book and the relationship between these two brothers really comes to the forefront.
Hyacinth  (AKA Cin) is a strong curvy lady who takes her talents to a Yahoo parlor! Tragedy ensues & Con & Thad meet  ...

I will leave the rest for you to discover!

Call of the Morrigu by Christy Nicholas

I do really enjoy Irish mythology; it is a newer interest for me so I am still learning about it. Morrígu is a strong goddess from around 1500 years ago when she was imprisioned by priests who saw her as a threat. Fast forward to 1797 & she is back!! It was SO fun to see how Morrígu reacted to the world in the "new time"; the 18th century as well as how she adapted or more like; didn’t adapt. She is a strong Warrior and doesn't understand the passive docile manner of the "modern" women of the time.

Dosey is a darling lady, she is naïve and very much a woman of her time. A bit of a tomboy at heart, but forced by society to become a proper lady.

Dosey’s fiancé Cillian is an petulant & spiteful guy and I don’t think he’s the right man for her. Never had an easier time disliking a character before!

In the end it was well written but I was hoping for a bit more  ...  maybe there is a sequel coming & I will get what I want there!

I received an advance reader copy of this book and voluntarily provided an honest review.

Blood Curse (DarkWorld: A Soul Tracker Novel Book 3) by T. G. Ayer

Oh my  ...  I do love a Mel story! So much drama, always on the go, saving someone, being betrayed, saving herself! Heck, she even got a new job to add to get already hectic life!

Saleem is off hopefully fixing things in his home plane, Drake is off hopefully fixing things in his home plane & Mel is left to try to fix things here!

Action packed, well written and exciting. You feel for the characters as they take their hits because they are so real!

Looking forward to the next book.

Pyros (A Skin walker Novel 1.5) (DarkWorld: SkinWalker) by T.G. Ayer

I loved Logan in Skin Deep and other books  ...  but now I feel like I understand more about Logan.

He is a young man with demons. This was well written & a joy to read!

Now on to the next book in the series!

The Sirens Son by Helen Scott

I 💜💙 Greek Mythology! So that this book is steeped in it was definitely a selling point. Then you fall for the characters that are so well written they seem to be right next to you. The settings are so real I had the joy of watching the characters and events play out as I read. This is the mark of a great book & a fantastic story teller.

To my delight, I get about half way ingo the book to find out my next favorite mythology would be joining the mix ... Celtic Mythology! Who doesn't love the Fae Folk?

The two mythologies are both as different as they are alike but blended beautifully in this story!

I am very much looking forward to the next book!

The Oracle by Helen Scott

This story was full of Greek mythology, gods and history. The scene was set masterfully and the characters were well defined and easy to see as the story unfolded.

There was action, excitement and a love story to boot!

This was a great prequel to the "Sirens Son" Series!

Give it a try, it was worth it!

The Prince: A Prolouge (Masterpiece Duet) by Skye Warren

This was a good short story & has made me look forward to more about Penny.

Penny has it tough as a kid, loses a parent & has a lackluster one take it's place. While she is 7 years old and her only surviving parent is on a 2 week bender she meets Damon. Events transpire and Damon leaves and doesn't come back.  She was sad and guilty about what happened for some time. The story ends when she is 15 and things are mostly better until Damon reappears.

Give it a try ...  now on to the next book!

Just Love Me (Book 1: Love Me Series) by C.C. Cartwright

This was a cute book, though not my usual fare.

At first I instinctively wanted to dislike Justin  ...  "I'm God's gift to women. What can I say?"  ...  really!?!?

Then there is Sloane. She has been in love with Justin forever but he is her Brother's nest friend  ...  essentially off limits.

Then the inevitable happens  ...  drama ensues  and long story short  ...  Book 1 does not end with a Happy ending.

The story was good but predictable and there is a happy ending.

If you are looking for a fun, easy read with a Happy Ending then this is the book for you! You might even enjoy Books 2 & 3 as well.

The Deal by Sarah J Brooks

I received this book as an ARC and should be available by 07/10 at the latest (I think, lol)

This was a cute book, though not my usual fare.

The story was good but predictable and there is a happy ending.

Ignite (Covenof Fire) Book 2 by Sierra Cross

Wow, what a wild ride!  Secrets, fears, death and lies!

The Coven of Fire has formed and is building even though it is not a "normal" coven. I think the absence of "normal" makes them stronger!

Alix and Matt  ...  ugh  ...  that man is frustrating! Here's hoping!

Cold Blood Dirty Blood by Heather Hildenbrand

This story continues & Thank the Gods it does!

Now, all I can do is accept the truths that are staring me in the face. One, Werewolves do exist. And Two, I was born to kill them.

This was a great YA story and you really learn to love the characters!

I look forward to other books & character & story development.
